Baza Jiu-Jitsu is a modern training academy in North Hollywood, founded by 9 time world champion Mateus Rodrigues. With a commitment to tradition and innovation, Baza is a space for all students, kids to adults, to build skill, resilience, and confidence in jiu-jitsu.

Mateus Rodrigues is the founder and driving force behind BAZA Jiu-Jitsu. A 9 time world champion and 4 time Pan Ams champion, Professor Rodrigues brings an elite level of technique and a genuine commitment to every student who walks through the door.

Ranked #9 Black Belt Absolute in the 2024 season and #10 in 2025, he continues to compete at the highest levels while building a world-class training environment in North Hollywood. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned competitor, Professor Rodrigues meets you where you are and pushes you to where you want to be.
